SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The Pacific Tigers had a strong showing at the Johnny Mathis Invitational, putting up multiple top-ten times for Pacific.  Emma Winkler had Pacific's highest finish of the day when she took second in the 3000 Steeplechase with her 12:20.80 time.

Pacific would also take second in the 4x100 Relay.  The team of Samia Adam, Ebony Ezeji, Naomi Nunis, and Lena Perry ran a 53.45.

The day started with Nunis picking up a seventh-place finish in the 100 Meter Dash.  Nunis ran a 12.95.  Pacific's next best time in that event was a 13.80 by Perry, who finished just ahead of Kriekie van Wyk's 14.16.

Nunis also had Pacific's best time in the 200, running a 27.45.  That put her in 15th out of 28 participants.

In the 800 Meter, Emily Wylie finished seventh for the Tigers, their second top-ten finish of the day.  Wylie ran a 2:25.99 in that event, then followed that up with an eighth-place finish in the 1500 with a 4:48.00.

Jasmine Gonzales took ninth in the 5000 with her 18:35.07 time, the best of any Tiger.  Just a few spots behind Gonzales was Myra Lakdawala, who ran a 19:03.10.  Madison Cote rounded out Pacific's times in that event with a 19:41.02.

Wylie, Winkler, Matti Long, and Sandra Padilla took fourth in the 4x400 Relay.  That team ran a 4:26.82, missing out on third place by just three seconds.

Jasmine Jenkins and Alexia Amo were Pacific's representatives in the shot put and the discus, with Jenkins getting the top time in each event.  Jenkins had a 9.80-meter throw in the shot put to Amo's 9.29, while Jenkins' 30.13 in the discus beat out Amo's 19.05.

Pacific's next meet will be the Kim Duyst Invitational, which begins on March 4 in Turlock, California.
