San Francisco, Calif. - Yuki Asami & Cristina Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz advanced to the doubles semifinals for the Pacific women's tennis team Friday at the Battle In The Bay Classic at California Tennis Club.

The duo of Yuki Asami & Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz knocked off the second-seeded doubles pair, Devin Chypyha & Marie Van Aeist of Arizona, take the match 8-7 (1) to advance.

Asami & Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz will face Shanna Dos Santos & Anna Sokiran of host San Francisco in the semifinals on Saturday at 9:45 a.m.

In other doubles action, Annaroos Nederstigt & Maayan Sela fell 8-4 to Maxfield & Joselyn Treyes Albarracin of San Francisco.

In consolation singles play, Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz and Nabila Farah of Santa Clara required a tie-breaker, with Farah eventually pulling it out, 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (8).

Asami fell to Dos Santos, 6-4, 6-2, while Chypyha advanced over Sela, 6-0, 6-3. Nederstigt was topped by UC Davis' Isabella Von Ebbe, 6-2, 6-3.
