STOCKTON, Calif. – When the WCC announced the Women's Tennis All-Academic Team on Wednesday morning, four Pacific student-athletes were named honorable mention in juniors
Nahreen Cheam,
Leyanne Hirota,
Milena Maiorova and
Indiya McLeod.
To be considered for the All-Academic team, a nominee must have carried at least a 3.2 GPA in the fall term and be beyond their first year of competition for Pacific. For Cheam, this season is her first year of eligibility and currently majors in English and Writing Professions with a targeted graduation of Spring 2027.
Also making their first entry to the All-Academic team are McLeod and Hirota. The former's inclusion on the team comes on the heels of her All-WCC Honorable Mention honor on Tuesday. McLeod is a double major, pursuing two separate business administration degrees – one specializing in finance and the other in business analytics. Hirota meanwhile appeared in a career high 20 matches this season while working towards a Health and Exercise Sciences degree. Both student-athletes are targeting a spring 2027 graduation date.
Maiorova makes her second appearance on the list in as many seasons. The Russia native is a Media X major with an expected spring 2027 graduation.
All four student-athletes are set to return next season for the Tigers.
