STOCKTON, Calif. – Women's tennis junior
Indiya McLeod was named to the West Coast Conference Singles Honorable Mention Team when the conference announced their postseason awards on Tuesday afternoon.
The junior is the program's first postseason award winner since the 2024 season and compiled a 11-4 singles record playing only on courts one and two all season. After her win over Saint Mary's in March, she became the first Tiger since Karina Chao in 2023 to win ten-plus matches and lose fewer than five matches in a season. McLeod was also the first Tiger since 2024 to win double digit singles matches.
"Indiya played fantastic tennis this season. She competed hard every match and she earned some high-level wins. Her hard work paid off. She puts in extra time every day. Her dedication to improving her craft paid off with some great wins this season. I am tremendously proud of her success on court this spring," Head Coach Mary Beth Gunn said.
Â
McLeod played her best tennis during February and March this season where she rattled off six consecutive wins during a larger stretch of seven of eight in which she scored a point for the Tigers.
The Australia native is set to return to Pacific for her senior season next year alongside nine more projected returnee student-athletes.
