On Deck

Pacific makes a one-game road trip into the bay area to play San Jose State Tuesday night.  The is one of two games against SJSU this year, with the other coming in April in Stockton.  SJSU is Pacific's second-most common opponent of all time, with the overall record favoring SJSU 73-83.  This year, SJSU is 3-5.  The Spartans split a four-game series with UC Irvine, lost one game to Santa Clara, and went 1-3 against Loyola Marymount.

After that, the Tigers will host Northern Colorado for the first time ever, with the two teams playing four games at Klein Family Field.  Northern Colorado is 2-7 this year, having lost two games to Kansas, lost two of three against Wichita State, and lost three of four against CSUN.

Tickets for the Northern Colorado games are available online.  Those games will also be streamed live online via TheW.tv.  The Friday game will start at 7:00 pm and be another of Pacific's Orange Friday games.  Saturday will feature a doubleheader, with the first game starting at 2:00 pm and the second at 6:00 pm.  The final game against Northern Colorado will be at 12:00 pm on Sunday, which will feature both Pacific's Salute to the Troops and Sunday Funday promotions.

Last Time Out

The Tigers fell 3-1 in their home opener despite an excellent pitching performance by Will Lydon, who fell to 0-2 on the season after hurling seven strikeouts in seven innings.  In the Saturday doubleheader, Pacific defeated Northwestern by identical scores of 7-3, helping Ricky Reynoso and Jake Jenkins earn their first wins of the season.  In the first game, both Danny Mayer and J.J. Wagner homered.  Mayer drove in two more runs in the second game, while Louis Mejia had a three-run double.  In the finale of the series, the Tigers lost 14-5.
