Biography

Senior (2016):
Mejia played in a career-high 51 games as a senior, making it an even 100 games for Mejia over his final two season.  Mejia started 46 games this year and hit .275/.330/.322 as a starter.  All 46 of those starts came at second base for Mejia.  He set career highs in runs (22) and walks (13) while stealing three bases.  Mejia had eight doubles and twice drove in three runs in a game: on February 27 against Northwestern with a bases-clearing double and on March 26 against San Francisco.

Summer (2015):
Mejia played alongside McKay Koissian on the Marysville Gold Sox over the summer.  He led the team in batting average (.364), runs (36), hits (52), doubles (13), home runs (3), and slugging percentage (.517).

Junior (2015):
Breaking out during his junior season, Mejia proved to be one of the Tigers'' most reliable hitters as he posted a .308 average with 52 hits in 169 at bats. He finished with a .420 slugging percentage as he added 15 extra-base hits including posting his first collegiate home run. Making the most of his round-tripper, Mejia blasted a grand slam at Gonzaga on May 8 as he came up with a career-best and Tiger season-best five RBI in Pacific''s 8-4 win over the Bulldogs. Additionally, Mejia was a jack-of-all-trades as he started as the DH, LF, 2B, 1B, and 3B throughout the season.

Sophomore (2014):
Mejia appeared in 15 games with nine starts for the Tigers at both second and third base. He went 8-for-30 at the plate with two RBI and seven runs scored. Against Fresno State on April 15, Louis put together a multi-hit performance as he went 2-for-3 with two runs scored in the Tigers'' victory.

Freshman (2013):
In his first season, Mejia earned 13 starts, primarily at second base, while seeing action in 19 contests. He picked up five hits in 38 at bats and recorded one RBI. His first collegiate hit came in his first start as he chopped an infield single against San Jose State on Feb. 17. He recorded his first RBI in the Tigers'' 14-13 win over UC Irvine on April 20.

High School:
Mejia hit .443 as a senior for Jesuit High School in Sacramento, posting a .531 on-base percentage and scoring 21 runs. He earned All-Delta River League and All-Capital Team honors as a senior for coach Joe Potulny''s Marauders. He also earned All-DRL accolades as a junior, when he hit .380 on the season, and as a sophomore after posting a .420 batting average.
