Men's Water Polo

No. 3 Men's Water Polo Sinks No. 17 Navy, 25-10

Providence, R.I. - It was more smooth sailing for the No. 3 Pacific men's water polo team Sunday morning, as the Tigers posted a 25-10 win over No. 17 Navy at the Bruno Fall Invitational behind four goals each from seniors Balasz Erdelyi and Goran Tomasevic.

Junior Alex Obert and senior Kevin Oliveira each posted three goals, while sophomores Kristian Laczkovics, Casey Fleming, junior Sean Grady, senior Balasz Szabo and and freshman Ben Stevenson each chipped in two. Sophomore Aleksandar Petrovic also got on the board with a goal as the Tigers turned in their highest scoring game of the season.

Pacific is outscoring its opponents 82-26 on the year, and 63-19 on the weekend.


UPDATE:

In the final game, the Tigers rolled No. 18 Brown, 20-4. Pacific jumped out to a 6-1 lead after the first quarter and blanked the Bears in the second quarter for a 11-1 lead at halftime. A seven-goal third quarter put the game away for Pacific, as the Tigers coasted home.

The Tigers are 5-0 on the season, and will head to the SoCal tournament next weekend.
