Northridge, Calif.- While on the road, the Tigers came up shy in the doubles events having given the doubles point to the matadors. Though the Tigers came up short, they remained determined to push the Matadors during the singles events.
In the singles events, the Tigers branched out and slowly found their niche as they got into individual match play. Individuals that secured wins for the Tigers include freshman Hana Ritterova in the No. 2 position with a final score of 6-3, 6-2 against Anna Yang. Junior Susan Te defeated her opponentat the No. 3 position after having lost the first set, Man-Son-Hing with a final three set score of 1-6, 6-3, 6-1. The last victory for the Tigers was on behalf of freshman Christiana Ferrari who defeated Corinne Schnyder also in three sets with a final score of 6-1, 1-6, 6-1.
The Tigers are now 6-6 in their spring season and 1-1 in the Big West Conference.
