Women’s Tennis Falls in Home Bout to Washington State

Box Score STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's tennis program finished up a three-match homestand on the wrong side of a 4-0 score to Washington State on Sunday morning at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.

After the doubles portion of the match, the team was placed on the back foot after losses on both courts one and three.

Pacific (5-11, 1-2 WCC) showed great fight in the singles half of the match but could not string together enough momentum to turn the tide. Junior Indiya McLeod had battled back from a first set loss to force an unfinished third set when play was halted while graduate Cindy Ung was readying to start a third set of her own on court three.

However, losses on courts two, four and six gave the match to the Cougars (11-6, 3-1).

The Tigers are out on the road for the next two, traveling to Portland and Seattle this coming Thursday and Saturday. Pacific has taken four of the last five from Portland while the meeting with Seattle is the first since 2018, a match the Tigers won.
