Albuquerque, New Mexico-
As the match kicked off, the Tigers experienced a great deal of adversity as their nationally ranked opponents settled into their niche. Pacific struggled to achieve victory in the doubles competitions having dropped two of the three matches.
After New Mexico secured the doubles point, the Tigers prepared themselves for the singles matches. In the singles events, the Tigers struggled to catch a break. However, one Tiger proved victorious. Senior Tomasz Krzyszkowski defeated opponent Ben Dunbar in three sets with a final score of 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (6).
Following the match, Coach Redondo stated, "The University of New Mexico came after us and never let up. They played a tough match and we let them in most spots today. We have a tough road ahead of us and it takes a lot of heart and desire to take one of these opportunities."
