SEASIDE, Calif. – Led by a seven-under-par performance from junior Will Tanaka, the Pacific men's golf program concluded its fall campaign with a seventh-place finish at the Saint Mary's Invitational, hosted by Saint Mary's on Wednesday at Bayonet Golf Course.

The Tigers finished two-under-par as a team through 54 holes, recording rounds of six-under-par, four-over-par and even-par against a competitive 18-team field.

Tanaka continued his strong fall season by carding a 7-under par 209, leading Pacific's individual scoring effort. His performance marked another impressive showing, who has emerged as one of the Tigers' most reliable contributors throughout the opening half of the 2026-27 campaign.

The junior entered the tournament carrying momentum from his tied-for-third finish at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, where he fired an 8-under par 208 to help Pacific capture its second consecutive home tournament championship.

As a team, Pacific collected five eagles during the Saint Mary's Invitational, capitalizing on scoring opportunities across the three-day competition.

Felix Bouchard also contributed to Pacific's team effort after entering the tournament following his second consecutive individual championship at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational.

Bouchard previously finished 11-under par 205 at the home event, becoming a back-to-back individual champion while helping the Tigers achieve their first consecutive home tournament titles since the 1975-76 seasons.

Juniors Bradley Smolinski and Guillaume Paquette, along with freshman Aiden Tiet, rounded out Pacific's five-man lineup, while freshman Liam Eyer competed individually.

Washington captured the Saint Mary's Invitational team championship at 26-under-par, followed by Santa Clara at 18-under-par and Oregon at 17-under-par.

Pacific finished ahead of several programs, including Cal Poly, Seattle and Arkansas State, earning its third top seven team finish of the fall campaign.

Under 12th-year head coach John Cook, the Tigers conclude the fall with a tournament championship, a runner-up finish and another competitive showing against a strong field.

Tanaka's steady play has been instrumental in those accomplishments, providing Pacific with another dependable scoring option alongside Bouchard as the Tigers prepare for the spring portion of their schedule.

Pacific will return to competition when it opens the spring campaign at the Amer Ari Invitational from February 4-6, 2027, at Mauna Lani Golf Course in Waimea, Hawaii.
