STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's tennis team had two student-athletes named to the All-District Academic Team presented by the College Sports Communicators. Junior
Ran Amar and senior
Manroop Saini were named to the All-District Team.
To qualify for the award, student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve for their team, at least a sophomore in academic standing, have been at their respective institution for at least one full academic year, and have a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average.
Amar was one of the best players on the team this season for Pacific, with eight singles wins, and eight doubles wins; with a 3.85 GPA, the Economics major was the embodiment of a student-athlete this semester. Amar was named to the WCC All-Academic First Team last season.
Saini, a business administration major with a finance concentration, was one of the best doubles players on the team this season, picking up with over Nevada, UC Davis and San Francisco.
This is the first time either student-athlete has been named to the All-District team. The Academic All-American Selections will be voted on this week.
