SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Pacific beach volleyball team dropped a pair of dual matches Friday afternoon, falling to Sacramento State, 4-1, and Concordia Irvine, 4-1, at Hornet Beach.
Sedona Sherman and Josephine Kinlan shined throughout the two dual matches, earning two wins for the Tigers (0-14) at the second doubles flight. Securing their first two wins of the season, Sherman and Kinlan opened the day with a narrow 21-18, 21-18 straight-set victory over the Hornets' (4-8) Caitlin Volkmann and Ellie Tisko.
The duo followed with an 18-21, 21-13, 15-12, come-from-behind win over the Golden Eagles' (12-13) Tatum Smith and Hailee Ryan.
Pacific returns to action on Saturday, April 8, as it takes on CSU Bakersfield and Cal Poly on the road.
