STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team (4-11, 1-4) returns home this weekend to host UC Santa Barbara (16-2, 2-0) and Saint Mary's (3-10, 2-3).
The Tigers are coming off a 1-4 loss to Pepperdine and a 1-4 loss to Loyola Marymount. Juniors
Peter Alam and
Ran Amar won singles points over the two matches to add to their strong season. Freshman
Tiago Silva put up a fight over both contests, going all three sets in the singles competition. Senior
Coby McCaig and Silva also picked up the lone doubles win for the Tigers.
UCSB is coming off a 4-0 shutout win against UC Riverside. They are an impressive 9-0 at home this year and 4-2 on the road.
Saint Mary's is currently on a three-match losing streak and is yet to pick up a contest win on the road this season.
Pacific will host UCSB on Friday, April 7, with the first serve coming at 1 p.m. as a part of a doubleheader with the women's team. The Tigers will host Saint Mary's on Saturday, April 8, with the first serve at 2 p.m. Both matches will take place at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
