DAVIS, Calif. – The Pacific men's golf team concluded the regular season Sunday afternoon, finishing the third round of the El Macero Classic in a tie for 18th place after shooting a nine-over-par 297.
The Tigers completed the three-day tournament with a 28-over-par 892 (301-294-297), while conference foe San Diego earned the team title with a 14-under-par 850 (283-288-279). North Texas and Cal State Fullerton rounded out the podium with second and third-place finishes.
Griffin Long moved up five places on the player leaderboard during the final round, carding a one-over-par 73. Long finished the tournament in a tie for 52nd place with a five-over-par 221 (73-75-73). The Davis, Calif. Native, led the Tigers with five birdies during the final round and finished the tournament with a team-high 10.
Leonardo Rigamonti rose seven spots on the leaderboard after shooting his best round of the tournament. Rigamonti carded a one-over-par 73 during the final round, finishing in a tie for 81st place with a 12-over-par 228 (79-76-73).
Pacific returns to action on Thursday, April 27, when it competes in the first round of the WCC Championships at Gold Mountain Golf Club.
