STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific beach volleyball team dropped two dual matches in the home finale Saturday afternoon, falling to UC Davis, 5-0, and Santa Clara, 5-0, at the Raney Sand Volleyball Courts.

Alexa Edwards and Megan Nishimura, competing at the fifth doubles flight for the Tigers (0-18), nearly won but ultimately fell 21-12, 19-21, 15-7, in a three-set affair. Hania Taduran and Jenny Todd fought at the first flight, battling to a 21-17, 21-13 losing decision.
Santa Clara 5, Pacific 0
In only their second match of the season, Edwards and Nishimura took 33 games, falling just short of a victory at the fifth flight. The duo fell in straight sets, dropping a narrow 21-16, 21-17 decision to Alexi Epstein and Hailey Benesz.
