DAVIS, Calif. – The Pacific men's golf team sits in 18th place after shooting a 13-over-par 301 in the first round of the El Macero Classic Monday at El Macero Country Club.
"We're looking for some momentum tomorrow to take into the second round," Head Coach John Cook said optimistically.
The Tigers recorded 10 birdies over the first 18 holes as a team.
Petr Janik and
Griffin Long led the way individually, carding three birdies each.
Long sits in a tie for 42nd, leading Pacific after the first round.
Pacific tees off the second round of the El Macero Classic at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, April 15th, as the Tigers look to continue their momentum.
