SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The Pacific beach volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Saturday morning, falling to Saint Mary's, 5-0 and Sacramento State, 4-1, at the Santa Cruz Tournament.
 
"We came close against Sacramento State," Interim Beach Volleyball Coach Carl Wheeler said. "We must continue to be more disciplined offensively and limit our errors."
 
Jillian Rodig and Josephine Kinlan, the lone pairing to earn a win for the Tigers (0-6), powered to a 21-15, 21-13 straight-sets victory at the third flight against the Hornets (1-2).
 
Sedona Sherman and Camdyn Albrecht nearly grabbed a win at the second flight but fell to Caitlin Volkmann and Greta Davis, 21-17, 18-21, 12-15.
 
Pacific returns to action at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, as it takes on Sacramento State for a second time at Hornet Beach.
