Men’s Tennis Hosts Cal Poly Before Heading to SoCal

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team (4-9, 1-2) will host Cal Poly (4-7) before heading down south to face Pepperdine (8-7, 1-0) and LMU (7-6, 0-1).

The Tigers are coming off a split of last week's contests, picking up a 4-0 shutout win against San Francisco and a 2-4 loss against Santa Clara.

During their 4-0 win, Pacific showed up in all aspects of the contest. Senior Manroop Saini and junior Peter Alam quickly shut out their opponent 6-1. Freshman Tiago Silva, redshirt freshman Terence Das, and Alam all picked up singles wins for the Tigers.

Cal Poly is coming off a 4-2 win at William & Mary, but they are 1-3 on the road. The Waves are coming off a two-match win streak, and they are 5-1 at their home courts.

The Lions are coming off a shutout loss to the Pepperdine but have a 4-2 record when they have home-court advantage.

Pacific's first match will occur on Wednesday, March 29, at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center, with the first serve at 1 p.m. Pacific will then travel to Malibu to take on the Waves on Friday, March 31, with first serve at 2 p.m. The Tigers will wrap up their road trip on Saturday, April 1, at LMU with first serve at 1 p.m.
