JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Pacific men's tennis team (3-7, 0-1) continues their road trip on the east coast to take on North Florida (6-3) before returning home.
After dropping their match against South Florida last Saturday, the Tigers bounced back in an exciting way, with freshman
Tiago Silva clinching Sunday's contest for Pacific over Stetson.
Pacific started Sunday's match down after dropping the doubles point. After regrouping before singles, the Tigers won four singles matches, with everyone battling on their respective courts.
Juniors
Ran Amar and
Peter Alam picked up singles points, and redshirt freshman
Terence Das. Silva clinched the match point for Pacific after going all three sets and coming out victorious.
North Florida is on a two-match win streak, beating Coastal Carolina 4-0 and nearly beating #74 Cleveland State 4-3. They are also undefeated at home this season, which is something to watch for in the match.
The match will occur at the UNF Tennis Complex on Tuesday, March 14, with the first serve at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET.
