STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific beach volleyball team travels north when it faces off against Sacramento State at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, at Hornet Beach.
The Tigers (0-6), facing off against the Hornets (2-2) for the second consecutive match, also faced off against the Hornets in the final contest of the Santa Cruz Tournament last weekend.
Jillian Rodig and
Josephine Kinlan, the lone pairing to earn a win for the Tigers last time out against the Hornets, powered to a 21-15, 21-13 straight-sets victory at the third flight.
Sedona Sherman and
Camdyn Albrecht recovered and nearly grabbed a win at the second flight but fell to Caitlin Volkmann and Greta Davis, 21-17, 18-21, 12-15.
Since the 2013 season, the two programs have faced off 16 times, with the Tigers holding an 11-5 advantage. The Hornets have won three of the last five meetings, including the 4-1 win at the Santa Cruz Tournament last weekend.
