DAVIS, Calif. – The Pacific beach volleyball team dropped a non-conference decision Wednesday afternoon, falling to UC Davis, 5-0, at the UC Davis Beach Volleyball Courts.
"Today was tough with challenging wind conditions," Interim Beach Volleyball Coach Carl Wheeler said after the match. "The team battled, and we had better performances in second sets once we figured out how to simplify the game."
Hania Taduran and
Jenny Todd, competing at the first flight for the Tigers (0-3), battled through a tightly contested first set but ultimately fell to Tabitha Mitchell and Finley Rollins, 23-21, 21-14.
Josephine Kinlan and
Joli Ruby earned 28 total games at the third flight but dropped a 21-12, 21-16 decision.
Pacific returns to action at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, as it hosts Portland at the Raney Sand Volleyball Courts.
