WAIMEA, Hawaii – The Amer Ari Invitational at the Hapuna Golf Course has been canceled due to high winds and poor conditions.
The first round on Wednesday, Feb. 8, began as scheduled, but conditions turned for the worst after the 20-team field made it through the first seven holes.
"The conditions were good when we first started, but then things got crazy," Head Coach John Cook said after the suspension of the opening round on Wednesday.
The tournament attempted to resume this morning, but 65 MPH gusts quickly ended any hope for the event being completed.
Pacific returns to action on Monday, March 13, as it competes in the Grand Canyon Invitational at the Grand Canyon Golf Course.
