STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific beach volleyball team competes in two-midweek matches, facing off at UC Davis at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, and then hosting Portland at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, at the Raney Sand Volleyball Courts.
The first flight of Hania Taduran and Jenny Todd paced the Tigers (0-2) last weekend in two matches against San Jose State and Santa Clara. The duo earned a come-from-behind 16-21, 21-16, 15-11 top-flight win over the Spartan's Jaida Ward and Cheyenne Rice.
Abby Miller and Joli Ruby battled at the fourth flight against the Spartans, narrowly dropping a 22-20, 27-25 straight-set decision to Blaire Fleming and Nayeli Tia.
UC Davis swept its season-opening matches last weekend, defeating San Francisco 5-0 in back-to-back contests. Tabitha Mitchell and Finley Rollins represent the Aggies' (2-0) top flight as the duo dominated the Dons with two straight-set victories, 21-12, 21-10, and 21-14, 21-16.
The Pilots (0-0) open their season at Stanford, facing off against the nationally ranked Cardinal and Saint Mary's on Wednesday, March 1.
