Alam and Trainauskas to Compete in Day Two of ITA National Fall Championship

SAN DIEGO, Calif.- Pacific's men's doubles team Peter Alam and Justas Trainauskas were electric on the opening day of the ITA Fall National Championship. Facing a top-ranked duo from Duke, the Tigers swiftly beat the Blue Devils in the Round of 32 to advance to day two of the tournament.

Seeded as the underdogs, Alam and Trainauskas faced #10 ranked tandem Andrew Zhang and Michael Heller. In a best of three, the Tigers downed the Blue Devils in two, 6-3, 6-4. The victory extended their already impressive winning streak, as they improved to 9-0 as a doubles team, with the streak dating back to the ITA Regional in early October.

The Tiger duo returns to action Thursday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m., as they take on Old Dominion's Connor Henry Van Schalkwyk and Codie Van Schalkwyk.
