BERKELEY, Calif.- The Pacific women's tennis team continue to make strides after a three-day weekend at the California Invitational. Two Tigers made appearances in the singles quarterfinals, including junior Tomi Main in the tournament's top flight quarterfinal on Saturday.
 
Friday saw a perfect 4-0 in women's singles for the Tigers. Junior Alexis Sam started off the Tiger victories with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 defeat over San Jose State's Olaya Bances Iglesias. Junior Megan Carmichael followed suit with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over Fresno State's Hannah Pieper.
 
Main kickstarted her run in the blue flight with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 win over BYU's Yujia Huang, while fifth year senior Klara Kosan moved to a 6-4, 6-1 victory over California's Erin Richardson to advance to the round of 16. 
 
The following day, Main and Kosan dealt the 8-1 blow to UC Santa Barbara's Kira Reuter and Carla Pacot in doubles. Main returned later in the singles round of 16, where she defeated Sacramento State's Mayya Gorbunova 6-4, 7-5 to advance to the blue quarterfinal. Kosan battled hard in the round of 16, but eventually fell to California's Hannah Viller Moeller 6-0, 6-3.
 
In Saturday's quarterfinal, Main fought tough against California's Katja Wiersholm, but came up just short of Sunday's semifinal after falling 6-1, 6-2. 
 
Carmichael advanced out of the round of 16 in the gold flight, after handling BYU's Kaavya Sawhney 6-4, 6-3. She narrowly missed Sunday's semifinal after falling to San Francisco's Simran Chhabra 6-3, 6-2.
 
On the final day of the tournament, Carmichael and Sam opened up the day with a win for the Tigers in doubles. They took down Fresno State tandem Charlotte Giscoln and Carolina Piferi 8-6.
 
Kosan closed out the day for the Tigers with a 7-5, 1-6, 10-7 singles victory over Nevada's Amahee Charrier.
