Tigers Fall 4-1 to Hornets

Box Score SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team (1–1) competed against Sacramento State (5-2) in the
the second match of the 2023 Spring season, falling to a strong Hornet team, 4–1.

"Credit to Sacramento State," said Head Coach Robin Goodman. "They played tough, and competed really well today. We have to better in uncomfortable situations, and is something we will continue to work on in practice. We had plenty of opportunities, but weren't able play at our true level in those moments today."

Freshman Tiago Silva continued to add to his strong start of the season when he defeated Jiri Novack (SAC) 6-3, 6-4 in their singles match.

Both junior Peter Alam and junior Ran Amar were defeated in their singles matches for the first time this season.

Amar and redshirt freshman Terence Das competed in the doubles match, which resulted in an unfinished decision 5-5, while Alam and Rodeia dropped their doubles match 6-3.

Pacific looks to strengthen its record on Thursday, Feb. 2, against Cal.
