STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's tennis team is back in action for the first time in the 2022-23 season as Klara Kosan, Tomi Main and Alexis Sam are all competing in the Battle of the Bay. 

"Battle in the Bay is a highlight for us each year," said Head Coach Mike Erwin. "The group that runs the event does a superb job taking care of the players and coaches at a level that is better than many pro tournaments. The success we've had with a finalist in doubles a few years back and with Klara winning the tournament in 2019 has made it a special one for our program. This weekend, I'm looking for good things from Klara, Tomi, and Alexis."

The tournament features both men's and women's teams and is one of the premier events of the fall. Kosan has had great success in the event, winning the tournament in 2019 and defeating the #1 seed in the 2021 iteration of the tournament. Main will see her first action for the Tigers, and Sam looks to prepare for the upcoming season.
