Lucchetti, Dirmeyer, and Scully Earn All-Conference Honors

SAN MATEO, Calif. – The Pacific softball team landed three West Coast Conference All-Conference selections, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Carly Lucchetti and Rian Dirmeyer earned second-team honors while Delaney Scully was named an Honorable Mention selection while also being named WCC Defensive Player of the Year.

Lucchetti, the Second-Team centerfielder, led the Tigers in multiple statistical categories throughout the season, highlighted by her career-high and team-leading .353 batting average, which ranked eighth-best in the conference. Lucchetti's 53 hits this season were the most hits by a single player since the 2018 season, which landed her in a tie for fifth in the conference, the highest-ranking of her career in that category. The senior from Linden, Calif., was an essential piece to the team's success this season as she tallied 15 multi-hit games, including going three-for-four with one RBI at California on March 2.

Dirmeyer also earned Second-Team honors as she was a crucial piece to the Tigers' offensive efforts this past season. Dirmeyer recorded the highest batting average of her career, hitting at a .345 clip which ranked 10th in the conference. Her nine home runs led the team and were the most hit in a single season since 2015. She is also the first Tiger to hit home runs in back-to-back games since Madison Kahwaty, Jessica Mabrey, and Madison Hopper during the 2019 season. The sophomore from Phoenix, Ariz., garnered West Coast Conference Player of the Week honors twice this season and ranked sixth in the conference with a .595 slugging percentage, the highest of her career.

In her first season with the team, Scully became one of the Tigers' primary offensive weapons while being solid for the team defensively. Scully ranked fourth on the team with a .254 batting average while tallying six hits in the final six games. Scully was also near perfect in the field. Playing primarily at second base, the freshman from Valencia, Calif., compiled a .985 fielding percentage, ranking fourth-best on the team.
