SANTA MONICA, Calif. – The Pacific beach volleyball team wrapped up the 2022 season Friday afternoon, falling to Pepperdine and San Francisco at the West Coast Conference Championships.

The Tigers opened the double-elimination tournament by falling to the nationally-ranked Waves for the second time this season. The Tigers fought hard as Darina Kumanova and Megan Nishimura kept up at No. 4 doubles before falling to Kate Clermont and Cameron Baklenko, 21-16, 21-18. Competing together for the 11th time, the duo finished the season with a 1-10 record, with the lone win coming against San Francisco on April 19.

The Tigers dropped their second dual match of the day, falling to the Dons to close out the season. Jenny Todd and Lucy Carpenter were the lone doubles team to pull out a victory, defeating Jessica Eanes and Letizia Aquilino, 21-16, 21-19 at No. 2 doubles. Taduran and Sheppard came out strong at No. 1 doubles, earning a first set victory before falling to Orsula Staka and Tanner Pemberton, 16-21, 21-18, 15-11.
Kumanova and Nishimura played their second tightly contested afternoon match, narrowly falling to Sophie Sydenham and Sarah Denham, 25-23, 21-18.
