PROVO, Utah – The Pacific Men's Golf Team finished round one of the 57th Annual PING Cougar Classic hosted by BYU after multiple weather delays. Round two started but will be completed Saturday morning before starting round three.

At the end of round one, the Tigers sat in fifth place in the 13-team pool with a team score of six-under-par 282.

Junior Maverick Pavletich and sophomore Haakon Mathieson led the Tigers individually, tied for 17th with a two-under-par 70. Senior Riley Killip's one-under-par 71 had him tied for 26th along with junior Leonardo Rigamonti. Redshirt junior Thomas O'Rourke was tied for 52nd with a plus-two 74.

After the partial play in round two, Pacific still sits in fifth place overall, plus-five on the round and one-under-par in total.

The Tigers have one eagle from O'Rourke and 34 birdies throughout the Cougar Classic. The team sits in third for Par 3s, with Mathieson leading the board and Pavletich in fifth and Par 5s with Rigamonti in second. Rigamonti is also fifth overall for birdies.

Rigamonti and Mathieson are tied for 14th on the leaderboard as of the stopping point in round two.
