STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific beach volleyball team fell to Saint Mary's, 4-1, Tuesday afternoon at the Raney Sand Volleyball Courts.
The dual match began with a split as
Megan Nishimura and
Shahrzad Sadeghi earned a 23-21, 14-21, 15-10 three-set victory at the fifth doubles pairing. The doubles pair has put together a successful season so far, earning wins in three of the seven dual matches played this season.
The Gaels controlled from that point on, sweeping through the final three matches to solidify the victory.
Lucy Carpenter and
Miranda Baptista, competing at the same time as Nishimura and Sadeghi, played two very tight sets but ultimately fell 22-20, 21-18 at the fourth doubles pairing.
