SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- The Pacific beach volleyball team wrapped up its Midseason Invitational at the Santa Cruz Main Beach Saturday afternoon, falling to San Jose State, 5-0, and San Francisco, 4-1.

Falling to the Silver Bracket after dropping two dual matches on Friday, the Tigers entered the afternoon with an overall record of 4-5 against San Jose State since 2014.
Darina Kumanova and
Megan Nishimura took an early lead at fourth doubles, earning a narrow 24-22 first set victory. The duo, however, fell 21-13 and 15-7 in the final two sets as Siena Brewster and Letizia Cammillucci earned the match win.

Pacific faced off against San Francisco later in the afternoon, competing against the Dons for the second time this season.
Jenny Todd and
Lucy Carpenter were the lone match-winners for the Tigers, earning the sweep in a 21-16, 21-11 win at second doubles. Kumanova and Nishimura again earned a set win at fourth doubles, 24-22, before dropping the following two sets.

Pacific returns to action on Saturday, April 2, as the Tigers return home to the Raney Sand Volleyball Courts to face off against Sacramento State at 11 a.m.
