SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The Pacific beach volleyball team travels to compete in the Midseason Invitational on Friday, March 25, and Saturday, March 26.
 
Pacific, fresh off a matchup at Saint Mary's on March 16, returns to action as the team takes on Santa Clara to open the tournament. The Tigers have been placed in Pool 1 and will compete against the Broncos at 11 a.m. Loyola Marymount and Portland, the other teams in Pool 1, will face off at 9 a.m.
 
Depending on the outcome of the morning dual matches in Pool 1, the Tigers will either take on LMU or Portland later in the afternoon.
 
In their last dual match, the Tigers came out with a different look and featured new pairings across the board. Sammie Sheppard and Hania Taduran, playing with each other for the first time this season, teamed up against Jennifer "Boo" Laird and Jasmin Suarez of Saint Mary's at the first doubles position. Shepard and Taduran were the only pairings to earn a set during the dual match, taking the first set 21-16 before ultimately dropping the following two sets.
 
 In an exhibition match, Megan Nishimura and Sheppard competed together for the first time this season and captured the first set, 21-15 but dropped the following two sets, 24-22, 20-22, in a very competitive match.
