GLENDORA, Calif. – The #15(T) Pacific Women's Water Polo team (5-9) comes off two wins at home this past week and hopes to continue improving its record with two matches this weekend.
On Saturday, the Tigers travel to Glendora to take on Azusa Pacific for their first conference match. The game will take place at the Glendora High School Aquatic Center at 10 a.m.
The Tigers are 12-1 against the Cougars (6-9). The last meetup between the schools saw an impressive 19-5 victory for the Tigers in April 2019.

On Sunday, the Tigers head to Redlands, Calif., to take on the Bulldogs. The game takes place at the Thomas Aquatic Center at 11 a.m.
The Tigers faced the (4-8) Bulldogs once in 2014 and came away with a 13-7 win.

This week in the GCC, the Tigers moved from 17th place in the rankings to tied for 15th. Graduate student Mariana Duarte is fifth in the GCC with 35 goals. Senior Brianna Utas is third in the GCC with 21 steals. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Clara Vulpisi leads the GCC in saves with 128.
Duarte was an honorable mention for Player of the Week after scoring eight goals in three games. On Wednesday, she had four goals in the Tigers' win over Fresno Pacific.
