Pacific Men's Tennis Continues to Add to Spring Roster

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Tigers have added another top player to its lineup with the signing of Tiago Silva. Silva will join the Tigers in the spring of 2023.

"We are thrilled to welcome Tiago Silva to our team this spring," said Head Coach Robin Goodman. "Tiago is a highly dedicated student, and tennis player. After getting to know Tiago over the last few months, it is clear that he is disciplined, mature and has a team focused mindset, that will certainly have a positive influence on our program and Pacific."

Before joining Pacific, Silva had quite a successful career in Portugal. The 17-year-old standout holds an ITF Junior career-high ranking of 310, winning one singles and two doubles titles. Silva was a finalist in the 2022 U18 National Championships in doubles. One of the most significant achievements in his career was earning his first international tennis title in Cyprus.

He shares his love for tennis with his brother João Silva who also plays the sport. He enjoys hanging out at home with family and friends when he is not playing tennis.

"I am excited to go to Pacific because I think it will be a great experience for me," says Silva. "I am confident I will improve not only as a player but as a person. Go Tigers!"
