El Macero, Calif. – UOP men's golf competed in the 2021 El Macero Classic hosted by UC Davis.
The Tigers finished tied for No. 7 overall for the tournament shooting 868(+4) as a team.
UC Davis won the tournament after defeating St. Mary's in a one-hole playoff. The Aggies finished with a total team score of 848(-16).
Matthew Sutherland from Fresno State won the individual tournament title by shooting a total score of 203(-13).
Junior
Leonardo Rigamonti and redshirt junior
Riley Killip posted the best scores for UOP as they finished tied for No. 27 overall with totals of 218(+2) across the three-day tournament.
Sophomore
Griffin Long placed tied for No. 32 overall with a final score of 219(+3). Fellow sophomore
Maverick Pavletich finished tied for 39 in the tournament at 221(+5).
Finishing at tied for No. 49 overall was sophomore
Petr Janik with a three-day total of 223(+7).
The Tigers will return to action at the end of April as they travel to Las Vegas, Nev. for the WCC Championships April 29-May 1.
