STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's golf team for the third day in a row lowered its score as it wrapped up play at the Saint Mary's Invitational at the Poppy Hills Golf Club in Pebble Beach, California. The Tigers finished with a 54-hole total of 894 (301-297-296).
Oregon came back from a seven-stroke deficit to overtake Stanford the team title with a 54-hole total of 833 (280-276-277). Quim Vidal Mora of Nevada was the individual winner with a 202 (70-65-67), 11-under par.
The Tigers were led by
Griffin Long and
Petr Janik, who each shared 73
rd with a 223. Janik closed out the tournament with a 73 and Long shot a final round 77.
Leonardo Rigamonti posted a 74 for a 54-hole total of 225 (76-75-74) for 87th place.
Riley Killip finished in a tie for 91
st with a 228 (74-77-77) and
Thomas O'Rourke closed out the tournament with a 10-stroke improvement and was tied for 101st with a 236 (82-82-72).
As a team, Pacific has recorded 160 and 30 birdies for the tournament.
This tournament wraps up the fall portion of the schedule for the Tigers.
