CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Pacific men's golf team finished 12
th at the Oregon State Invitational, following a 54-hole total of 897 (300-294-303) at the
Trystring Tree Golf Club.
The team title went to Washington, who won by 11 strokes with a 54-hole total of 838 (276-278-284) as the Huskies were led by individual winner R.J.
Manke. On the par 71 course,
Manke posted a 204 (67-70-67), -9. For 54 holes, Manke recorded 34 pars, 13 birdies and an eagle.
The Tigers were led for the third-straight tournament by
Leonardo Rigamonti, who posted a 54-hole total of 220 (75-76-73) to share 42
nd place.
Rigamonti made a leap up ten spots in the final round. He was just one of nine players in the field to record an eagle.
Teammates
Petr Janik and
Griffin Long shared 45
th as they posted a 225. For
Janik, his best round was his first round where shot a season-best round of 72 (+1) and for Long, he posted a best round of 72 (+1) during the second round. The fourth player in the Pacific lineup was
Maverick Pavletich, who shared 50th with a 226 (79-73-74) and the fifth player in the lineup was
Riley Killip, who was 83
rd with a 237 (76-79=82) in his first tournament of the fall.
Next, Pacific will serve as the host to the Visit Stockton Invitational at the Stockton Golf & Country Club, Oct. 21-23.
