What You Should Know:
- Pacific competed in six fall tournaments last semester, including the Duck Invitational to close out the fall where sophomore Philip Hjorth captured the Singles A title.Â
- Hjorth was named to this season's Preseason All-WCC team after an impressive fall campaign that included the singles title in Eugene and a win over then-No. 18 Alastair Gray of TCU at Battle in the Bay.Â
- Hjorth earned an ITA Singles ranking coming into the spring season, checking in at No. 104. It's the highest singles ranking for the program since Daniel Alamehat 103 in 2016, alongside that year's WCC Player of the Year in No. 55 Sem Verbeek.Â
- Hjorth is one of three Tigers returning from an All-WCC corps last season, joining Tadiwa Chinamo and Ross Watson. All three were named WCC Singles honorable mention in 2019.
