STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific men's basketball team (16-8, 4-4) took down Loyola Marymount (8-14, 2-6), 62-50, for their sixteenth win of the season on Thursday night at the Alex G. Spanos Center, snapping their three-game skid against the Lions.

First Half-
- Â Catching fire out of the gates, freshman guard Daniss Jenkins scored the first eight points of the game on two three-pointers and a jump shot to give the Tigers an early 8-0 lead at the 17:30 mark.
- Dominating in the post, junior James Hampshire used a powerful dunk to keep Pacific on top of the Lions by five, 14-9, halfway through the first half.
- Despite a quick run by LMU that saw them take a two-point lead, the Tigers tied the game at 21 on a layup by junior Amari McCray at 2:59.
- Just 43 seconds later, junior Justin Moore nailed his first shot from behind-the-arc as UOP regained the lead, 24-22, with 2:16 remaining.
- Following another three by Moore, Pacific headed into the locker room leading the Lions by seven, 29-22.

Second Half-
- Picking up right where they left off, graduate transfer Austin Vereen knocked down his lone shot from downtown to extend the Tiger lead to ten, 32-22.
- Keeping the pressure, Jenkins hit back-to-back jumpers at 13:44 and 13:04 as Pacific stayed on top of the Lions by double-digits, 42-31.
- Finding their rhythm on offense, sophomore Jahbril Price-Noel found a wide-open Jeremiah Bailey for his first triple at the 9:37 mark.
- As the clock wound down, Vereen delivered two clutch free throws with 57 seconds remaining to give the Tigers a 12-point lead, 60-48, over the Lions.
- Protecting their home floor, Pacific would go on to secure their 11th victory at the Spanos Center this season by a final score of 62-50.

- Finishing with his second highest point total of the season, freshman guard Jenkins was named the City of Stockton Human Resources Hardworking Player of the Game after tallying 16 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 1 block.
- Contributing when called upon, Moore and Vereen each recorded 9 points each in the victory while Tripp added 7 points.
- UOP led the Lions in second chance points (9-4), bench points (26-19) and fast break points (4-1).

Pacific will aim to win back-to-back games for the first time since Jan. 2 (59-56 win over Pepperdine) and Jan. 4 (107-99 win over SMC) when they host San Diego (8-15, 1-7) at the Alex G. Spanos Center. The game will be broadcast live on The WCC Network at game time.
