STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's basketball team placed another tally in the win column after defeating the visiting SIU-Edwardsville Cougars, 78-50 on Tuesday night.
The Tigers improve to 6-3 on the season, which includes a stellar 5-1 record at the Alex G. Spanos Center. SIUE falls to 2-5.
 
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
First Half
	- It took some time for the Tigers to go on their first significant scoring run. 16:58 marked the start of a 6-0 run that gave the Tigers a 9-2 lead and forced SIUE to take its first timeout of the game.
- Pacific went on to extend its lead to 20-3, thanks to a five-point effort by Jahlil Tripp and a four point effort from James Hampshire.
- The Tigers would remain in control for the remainder of the half, not allowing the Cougars to come within less than 15 points and gaining it largest lead of 32 points on 13-8 run in the final five minutes. 
- The Orange and Black hit 63.3 of its shots from the field and was 5-for-10 from three point range. 
- Amari McCray scored all nine of this points in the first 20 minutes. In addition, he pulled down three-of-five rebounds and had a block in the first half.
- Pacific scored 11 points on Cougars 17 turnovers.
 
Second Half
	- Pacific gained it largest lead of 35 points (57-22) following a made layup by Tripp at 15:37.
- The Tigers were held scoreless from 15:27-12:16.
- Despite the Cougars outscoring the Tigers, 23-17 in the final 12 minutes of play, Pacific was able to hold SIUE from coming within less than 27 points. 
- Pacific finished the night with its largest margin of victory, 28 points (78-50) against a Division I program.
 
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
	- Broc Finstuen was tabbed the City of Stockton Human Resources Hardworking Player of the Game with 12 points, four rebounds, and three assists. 
- Tripp led all players with 13 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the field and a perfect 3-for-3 effort from the free throw line. 
- Pierre Crockrell II dished out a career high seven assists, while also knocking down two shots for a total of four points. 
- In his first start of the season, Jahbril Price-Noel scored a season-high 10 points, after finishing perfect (4-for-4) from the floor, which included two made three pointers. 
 
 
AS A TEAM
	- Pacific recorded season-highs of 18 assists and 10 steals, while shooting a season-best 56.4 percent from the field.
- The Tigers scored 46 points in the paint and 34 points off the bench.
 
 
WHAT'S NEXT
