LAST TIME OUT:
  • The Tigers sent out seniors Luke Pavillard, Luis Araya, Jay Halva, Andrea De Nardi and Engin Ege Colak with a 19-9 win over No. 15 UC Irvine last Saturday at the Chris Kjeldsen Pool at the Pacific Aquatics Center. All five tallied goals in their final regular season contest in Stockton.
  • Pacific dominated with a strong offensive showing from the start, jumping out to a 9-0 lead over the Anteaters early in the second quarter.
  • Freshman Jeremie Cote led the Tigers with four goals on the day, while Pavillard scored two of the Tigers' first three out of the gate.
  • Redshirt freshman Jonathan Barry also tallied 8 saves and one steal in route to his 15th win of the season.

TALE OF THE TAPE:
  • San Jose State and Pacific are meeting for the 13th time in the series history.
  • Pacific currently holds the 8-4 advantage over the Spartans, including winning seven straight dating back to October 2015.
  • Pacific also has a 2-0 record this season against the Spartans with 16-11 win on Sept. 7 and a 14-12 victory on Sept. 22.

ON THE PROWL:
  • A win over the Spartans on Saturday would cement the Tigers' third consecutive regular season GCC title in addition to placing them as the top seed heading into next weekend's GCC Tournament in Malibu. Looking for their fourth victory in a row, Pacific is still the only team to remain undefeated in conference play.
  • Pavillard will look to end his final regular season on a high note, continuing his march towards another All-American bid with 50 goals, 27 assists, 77 points and 26 steals – all ranking top five in the GCC. Furthermore, the Perth, Australia native aims to bring home his third consecutive GCC Player of the Year Award after being crowned the conference's top player in 2017 and 2018.
  • Cote's four goals against UC Irvine kept his stellar freshman season intact, as the Montreal native recorded his sixth four-goal game this year.
