Day Two Of Napa Valley Classic Continues For Chinamo

ST. HELENA, Calif. - Tadiwa Chinamo of Pacific Men's Tennis was back in action today as he continued his way through the Napa Valley Tennis Classic Saturday afternoon. On day two of the tournament, Chinamo faced Billy Griffith, a senior from California.

Chinamo again took his singles match to three sets losing the first 6-1, then coming back to turn it around and winning the second set 6-1. The third and final set, Griffith held on to take the match from Chinamo, 6-1.

"This was a great match by both players as it came down to deuce games in all 3 sets.  I'm really proud of Tadiwa's competitive spirit," said head coach Ryan Redondo.  "It could have gone either way but Billy played well and dug out some balls on sudden points. Tadiwa can gain a ton of confidence in this match and will have another great opportunity against Baylor's Sven Lah tomorrow.  His awareness definitely improved from yesterday's match and hopefully he can catch some breaks a little earlier tomorrow to continue to play with freedom."

Sunday will be the third and final day of the Napa Valley Tennis Classic as Chinamo goes up against the freshman from Baylor, Sven Lah.
