Box Score

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - In the series finale in Santa Clara, the Pacific Tigers defeated the Broncos, 6-2 as both the Tiger offense and defense posted strong showings.

In the sixth, Free followed a Tarantino single with a two-run homer to right field to get the Tigers on the board first. Mayer reached base on a single to left field and was able to score a run after Barry doubled to right to give Pacific the lead, 3-0.

Matt Smithwick put one over the center field fence in the seventh to shrink the Tiger lead to 3-1.

Mayer answered in the eighth with a solo shot to center field for his 11th home run of the season.  Keaton Glover came through with an RBI single to left field as he plated Halstead who posted a single and stole a base to put himself in scoring position.

The bats weren't done yet for Pacific as Free delivered his second home run of the game to right center in the ninth inning for his third multi-home run game of the season and the sixth Tigers run of the afternoon.
