Junior (2016):
Mayer exploded onto the scene in his first year as a full-time starter as he led the WCC in homers with 15 and was named to the All-WCC First Team.  That total was the second-most in Pacific history, behind only Justin Baum''s 17 in 2005.  Mayer also blasted 32 extra-base hits as he added 16 doubles and a triple.  With Mayer''s 40 RBI, the Tigers had their first duo with 40 RBI since 2009 as Gio Brusa also put up that many.  Mayer led the Tigers in runs with 46.  He hit .314/.346/.590, helped along by a 22-game hitting streak to end the year.  Mayer also reached base in 34 consecutive games through the end of the season: Mayer did not reach base in the WCC opener on March 17, then made it in ever other game this year.  Mayer had six games with multiple extra-base hits and 12 multi-RBI games.  On March 6, Mayer set a career-best in RBI with four in the 8-5 win over Northern Colorado.  He would match that mark on March 19 against BYU.

Summer (2015):
Mayer led the Medford Rogues of the West Coast League in batting average (.325), hits (55), doubles (13), home runs (11), and RBI (36).

Sophomore (2015):
Primarily playing in leftfield in his second season, Mayer appeared in 19 games while starting 14 contests for the Tigers. The big righty came up with six hits on the year including two doubles and a home run as he drove in five RBI and scored four runs. Mayer hit his first collegiate home run at Seattle on May 11 in the Tigers'' 4-1 win over the Redhawks.

Freshman (2014):
Mayer saw limited action in his first year at Pacific as he backed up a veteran outfield and saw some time as Pacific''s designated hitter. He appeared in 19 games with 13 starts. For the year, Danny recorded seven hits in 41 at bats which included a 2-for-4 day at Nevada that saw the first-year Tiger recorded his first career triple.

A standout at Downers Grove South, Mayer earned team MVP honors as well as all-conference and all-area honors as a senior. In 2013, he hit .415, with a .627 slugging percentage to go along with four home runs and 43 RBI. On the mound, he went 5-1 with a 2.46 ERA. As a team, the Mustangs finished second in the West Suburban Gold league after posting a 15-3 league record and a 28-6-1 overall mark. As a junior, he hit .342 with six doubles and a pair of home runs for the Mustangs. On the mound for the Mustangs he tossed 12 innings, with a 1-0 record and 15 strikeouts. He also played for one of the premier travel teams in the midwest, the Top Tier Americans, for whom he was 8-1 with a 1.40 ERA on the mound and hit four homers.
