San Francisco - The Second Day of SF State Distance Carnival action saw records fall yet again for the Pacific Track and Field team, and solid times posted across the board as the races shifted to shorter and medium distance disciplines.
In the 4x100m relay, the team of Jessica Fogel (Northridge, Calif.), Lena Perry (Chatsworth, Calif.), Ebony Ezeji (Stockton, Calif.) and Jasmine Jenkins (San Ramon, Calif.) crossed in a time of 52.18, a new school record, taking down the previous mark of 52.64 set by Fogel, Ezeji, Jenkins and Mati Long (Sandy, Utah) earlier this season.
Perry participated in the 100m hurdles, finishing in 17.29, eclipsing the mark that she shared with Samia Adam (Santa Clara, Calif.) of 17.60 at the Hornet Invitational on March 18th.
Lauren Nakaso (San Ramon, Calif.) set a new personal record in the 400m, crossing in 1:05.11, besting her top time at the Kim Duyst Invitational on March 5th. Long crossed in 1:04.47 and Shayda Ansari (Newbury Park, Calif.) finished in 1:07.70 to round out the Pacific contingent.
Naomi Nunis (Manteca, Calif.) paced the Tigers in the 100m dash, crossing in 13.22 while Ezeji finished in 13.43 and Perry crossed in 13.57. Nunis fell just short of her career best of 13.12, which represents the second best individual mark in the history of the program. Nunis also ran in the 200m distance, finishing in 27.96, falling less than a second short of the school record held by Malaya Cabrera.
Haley Silva (Manteca, Calif.) ran in the two-mile distance, finishing in 11:33.93, the second-best mark in program history and fourth overall in the race.
