Meet Info
Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific Track and Field team heads to the Hornet Invitational in Sacramento on Saturday. The meet will begin at 9:45 am with the women's 5000m race. The day features 32 colleges and universities including West Coast Conference schools San Francisco, Saint Mary's and Santa Clara as well as Cal, Stanford and Nevada.
The action for the Tigers starts at with the 5,000m as freshmen Katelyn Breitschwerdt (Monrovia, Calif.) and Haley Silva (Manteca, Calif.) join junior Myra Lakdawala (Karachi, Pakistan) in the competition. At 11:05 am, the 4x100 relay kicks off with Jessica Fogel (Northrige, Calif.), Ebony Ezeji (Stockton, Calif.), Lena Perry (Chatsworth, Calif.) and Jasmine Jenkins (San Ramon, Calif.).
At 11:20am, the 1500m race features Mia Knipper (Morada, Calif.) and Becky Grabow (Carson City. Nev.) as well as Erica Ramos (Stockton, Calif.) At 12:25 pm, Lena Perry (Chatsworth, Calif.) and Samia Adam (Santa Clara, Calif.) will compete in the 100m hurdles.
At 12:50 pm, the 400m dash Mati Long (Sandy, Utah.), Lauren Nakaso (San Ramon, Calif.), Sandra Padilla (Stockton, Calif.), and Shayda Ansari (Newbury Park, Calif.) take to the track. The 100m dash at 1:35pm features Ezeji, Fogel, Perry and Naomi Nunis (Manteca, Calif.).
At 2:25 pm, Nakaso and Ramos will run in the 800m while the 200m dash features Ezeji at 3:40 pm. Lindsay Wourms (Camas, Wash.) takes to the 3000m steeplechase at 4:50 pm.
In field events, Jenkins will compete in the shot put at 1:30 pm and will also take part in the discus throw at 9:45 am. Monica Kott (Orange, Calif.) is in the discus throw in addition to Jenkins.
Head Coach Josh Jones said of the Hornet Invitational meet, "There are some good teams that are going to be at this meet and the weather is going to be nice. We should see some great times this weekend."
