Box Score NSCAA Release
Stockton, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer team has earned the Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for excellence in the classroom, the organization announced. It is the fourth consecutive season and sixth time in the last seven years the Tigers have earned this award.
The Tigers posted a 3.24 GPA during the 2015-16 academic year, and are recognized among schools across all three NCAA divisions. Pacific joins Gonzaga, Santa Clara, Saint Mary's and Loyola Marymount as West Coast Conference institutions who are recipients of this award.
To qualify, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or above for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by the average of all active players on the roster.
Founded in 1941, the NSCAA has grown into the world's largest soccer coaches' organization that serves members at every level of the game. The NSCAA works every day to inspire coaches and ignite their passion for the game so they pass it on to players and others in the soccer community.
The Tigers are back on the road this weekend as they take on Santa Clara tonight at 7 PM and San Francisco on Sunday at 1 PM. Live video will be available courtesy of theW.tv.
