Eugene, Ore. – The Pacific men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at No. 53 Oregon on Monday, March 23. The Tigers dropped to 4-14 on the season, while Oregon improved to 11-4.
Marlon Brand and Daniel Alameh won at No. 2 doubles for Pacific, but the Ducks took the doubles point and won all six singles encounters to take the match.
"For most of the match today we had it on our racket from doubles to singles." said Head Coach Ryan Redondo, "Oregon pushed back, stepped up and ran with it. For us to be a better team, those moments need to be discipline. We are headed that direction and have some more opportunities to improve on that part. Other than that we are a very good team."
The Tigers are next in action with a home match at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts against Gonzaga on Friday, March 27. The match is for a set for 1:00 p.m. start.
